SLH Editing is a proofreading and editing service run by Sophie. Having always had a love of language, Sophie developed her skills during her undergraduate degree in Creative Writing at the University of Derby. She exercised her proofreading and feedback skills in workshop groups, helping other students to develop their writing style. Sophie began to take on freelance projects proofreading and copyediting for people who spoke English as a Second Language, for independent writing projects, and for various charities and small businesses.
In 2020, Sophie obtained a Master’s degree in Psychology and is now a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). With her academic background and personal and professional experience, Sophie enjoys working with people on large and small projects alike, and particularly enjoys working with neurodivergent people to ensure their projects flourish in a way that’s authentic to them.
